I was a stay-at-home mother, and I also home schooled our three children. As such, do-nothing days were simply not an option for many years. Babies and toddlers must be taken care of, even when a mother is ill. Even with brain fog and fatigue from screwed up hormones and an undiagnosed thyroid disorder, the demands of life did not lessen. Now that the children are adults and I am "retired" from home schooling, the old habits of keeping busy are difficult to break. Other health problems have arisen, thanks to the aging process, and I do have days when I decide I am going to "do nothing." But I will still prepare meals, clean up the kitchen, run a load or two of laundry, read, do some knitting, etc. You can point in any direction in my house and find something that is waiting to be done, and I simply can't ignore all of them. Just a few. I almost envy your ability to do nothing.
