Small Project Day - by Sunscape

It was time to clean the refrigerator and see if anything needed discarding. I had to empty everything out onto the island first of all.

My refrigerator is small and can get cluttered up fairly quickly. It was driving me crazy having so much disarray, so that was my morning task. After getting it all washed down, and some things tossed out. I emptied out the drawers and the sides of the doors.

Now that it was nice and clean, I got everything rearranged to make getting at certain items easier. Now, if only I could train my husband to put things back in their proper place, lol.

Wheelbarrow

Every time I use the wheelbarrow, I didn't like the way the wooden handles felt with bare hands. I don't always wear gloves, and I was worried about getting a sliver. It was time to get out the palm sander and sand the wood smooth. Once that was accomplished, the handles were sealed with two coats of polyurethane to protect the wood. Now, when I have to use it, I don't need to worry as it came nice and smooth.

Patio Set

This is the table and chairs from my porch. I noticed some rusty spots here and there on the chairs and I certainly don't need rust getting onto anyone's clothing.

I found a metal brush and scraped any loose paint off along with all the rust and washed them down thoroughly. Once they were all dry, I gave them two coats of Rustoleum paint to freshen them up.

Now that they are all back on the porch and all three projects completed it was Mika time. She waits so patiently for me to settle down so she can sit in my lap.

Of course, I'm always ready for some relaxing porch time. Have a great day everyone and a nice weekend.

Yes, all is well in our world, hopefully yours is as well. Love to your and momma. ♥

Everything is pretty good here, some days are more difficult than others but always giving the best of myself and above all always taking care of my mom, she always asks about it, she always remembers when you had surgery.

Good things to have gotten done! I've noticed my metal chairs really need to be sandblasted and repainted. It's probably been 20 years since they were done. We recently did the fridge, but it had crossed my mind as a hot Thursday afternoon project. And using the wheelbarrow now will be much nicer.

Some projects just get done on a whim. lol The table and chairs were way overdue to be done. I've had that set for 45 years and it is still going strong. The fridge is done, the tall freezer is organized once again. I still have to defrost the meat freezer this week when it is hot out.

I hope you got all your squash planted in time. Heatwave is coming!

That's great about the fact you keep on engaging yourself in such things and projects!
I should really say Mika is so cute and adorable.! Just loved her!

Now, if only I could train my husband to put things back in their proper place, lol.
