Coming from a farming family, I love seeing all your little babies. If I could have a few chickens, I would, but our town prohibits them. Farming never allows one a day off; the livestock will keep you hopping even when you are exhausted. But, as you are finding out, it is all worth the peace and joy it brings. As time goes by, you will not even think about leaving for a day off. ;-)

Oh, yes, the animals keep me hopping! Just last night I noticed that the baby pigs are starting to root a trench along the bottom of their fence. It's just deep enough and they're just small enough they could almost squeeze out. So now a new wrinkle in my routine is monitoring that and adding boards and cinderblocks as necessary. But all the animals have such personalities. I enjoy being with them and caring for them. ... Thanks for reading. More pics to come.
