Hundreds of millions of years ago they lived on Earth. And it is very likely that similar creatures lived 10 billion years ago on other planets. Someone has conceived a damn interesting thing called Life in this Universe. An interesting and cruel thing.
I find fossils absolutely mind blowing. They are a photograph of time - and a snapshot of how fucking brief human life is.
