I was along a coastal strip called El Chivo, where many photographers usually go because of the variety of birds found there, especially in the morning and at sunset. This time I came across this Smooth-billed ani. It is a bird with black plumage, but this one, having the direct light of the rising sun, seemed adorned with this wonderful gold. The initial photo is a composite image of two captures of the same bird, which follows below.
Estuve por una franja costera llamada El Chivo, a donde suelen ir muchos fotógrafos por la variedad de aves que allí se encuentran, especialmente en la mañana y al atardecer. Esta vez me encontré con este garrapatero ani. Es un ave de plumaje negro, pero este al tener la luz directa del sol naciente, parecía adornado con este dorado maravilloso. La foto inicial es una imagen compuesta de dos capturas de la misma ave, que le siguen a continuación.

Hola @abelfotografia, en casa teníamos hace años dos grandes pinos caribe. Una vez, a causa de un fuerte aguacero, cayó de uno de ellos un nido de garrapateros. Tenía dos crías y una sobrevivió, papa la crió y, aunque aprendió a volar, vivía con nosotros como mascota. La llamábamos Tiburcio sin saber si era hembra o macho.
Súper interesante! Esas aves son familia de los cuervos, según tengo entendido, debió ser muy inteligente al decidir quedarse con uds.
Si, llegaba volando y se posaba en el hombro de papá o cerca. Era muy dulce.
Lo impresionante de esta especie de ave la protuberancia alt y delgada en el pico. Excelente fotografía @abelfotografia
