The winter bird canteen is closing (7pics)

Greetings friends.
So the next winter bird feeding season has come to an end. But I keep pouring food into the feeder. Last weekend there were a lot of birds in the tree outside the window, but today I saw no more than 10 birds in total.
The soil in many places has been freed from snow and now the birds can find their food.
By the way, today on a morning and evening walk I heard summer birdsong. This greatly improves your mood and stimulates you to go for a walk.

Bullfinches have become slim. They lost their winter plumpness, which made them much larger visually. Birds are no longer afraid of frosts.
By the way, tits have visually become almost 2 times smaller in size.

The last visitors to the bird canteen this season. The feeder lost its presentability in 3 years of operation and even began to fall apart. Duct tape is the most important repair tool.
I've been planning to build a feeder with my own hands for 2 years, but for some reason, the summer flies by very quickly and I forget to build an updated bird canteen. I make a promise - this year I will do it anyway!

Birds are not interested in the beauty of the feeder, but in its contents.
This year I fed the birds about 40 kilograms of sunflower seeds. This is the favorite food for all birds. The price of sunflower seeds in stores has increased by 50% or more this season. Apparently, by next year, we should expect another price rise. You need to try to stock up on seeds in advance.

This photo was taken on Sunday.
On this day, the hawk flew to the tree to hunt for tits 2 times. During the second arrival of the hawk, this bird hit the window, but then it managed to land on a tree branch. The Hawk made a U-turn and went on the attack again. The chickadee was saved by tree branches. The hawk got tangled in these branches, and then 2 magpies flew in and they chased the hawk away! The tit sat in this position for more than 5 minutes. Then she flew away. I hope her health hasn't deteriorated.
A year ago in the spring, I found 4 dead bullfinches under the window. I do not know the cause of their death. But at the moments of the hawk's attack, birds often hit the window in fright and after that sometimes there are traces of blood, fluff, and other stains.
This is life. We feel sorry for the little birds, but the hawk also needs food. 2 years ago, I saw a hawk catch a tit with its prehensile claws and then drag it away toward the forest.
