Feathered Friends - Turdus pilaris - Fieldfare.

This year, winter in the northwestern part of Ukraine has dragged on.

Winter took a bite of spring's pie, and today, I see winter, not spring.

Probably if the birds have a feeling of regret. they resent the extreme cold and the abundance of snow in early spring.

This is especially true of migratory birds that have returned to our area from warmer regions.

One of these birds is Turdus pilaris or Fieldfare.

I met this bird four days ago.

He was sitting on a briar bush and was very careful.

In fact, there were two birds, but when I started approaching, one of the thrush got scared and flew away.

I was able to walk within thirty steps, no closer, and take a few photographs.

In theory, the birds are going to start building nests. but. I can not imagine. how they can do it from frozen branches.

On this day, the birds looked like tourists whose flight was canceled or delayed and they had to wait for a new flight at the airport.

I did not hear how they sing and communicate with each other, they kept silence.

For my publications, I do not use stock photographs, it is fundamentally important for me to use photographs that I have made with my own hands for publication and I can name them - authorial work.
