We met a couple of macaws and their owner at a local cafe. Their upper wings are red, then green which turns to blue at the bottom, red tail, red and white face with red stripes and a black and pinky white beak.
Their beaks were really huge but both birds seemed extremely friendly, although we didn’t get too close.
Macaws are native to southern Central America and northern South America.
They really were a lovely vibrant colour and quite cheeky birds.
Macaws are amazing to look at, I have seen few when I was in Thailand. This one is really nice, vibrant color...
There's a group near me who go up on the cliff tops, and let the birds free fly. I'm hoping to see them at some point.
