Hello everyone, its so much fun to participate in this contest. As a birdwatcher, it is thrilling to get new topics to focus on every week. And @nelinoeva thank you so much for the 2nd prize in last weeks SMAP contest. Am glad that i have some nice photos of birds on top branches.

Red whiskered bulbulls are common here in Kerala, India. They are not afraid of humans and i have shared some posts earlier about them in this community.

Mynas are amazing birds and like the ring necked parrots they can mimic the sounds of other animals and humans. They are great pet birds. My grandfather used to have a myna named malu. She was an amazing bird and she used to call all our names and even sang malayalam songs taught by my grand father.

These birds are rare ones but a couple of them can be seen everyday in a tree near my office. They are so quiet. And i think they are hard to find in other places of India than Munnar,Kerala.

Here comes one of my personal favourite birds. To be honest with you all, i have seen these beauties only a couple of times in my entire life . They are so beautiful and it is amazing to see these birds stretch their wings and flying.

Another wonderful post.
Hoopoe is among my favourite birds too and I was so much surprised to see it in our local park last year. They come in summer and usually they cannot be found in towns. They are amazing birds. ☺
