Hello everyone, like always this week's topic is a bit tricky. When i first saw the topic i thought it will be super easy but when i searched my gallery for bird feet and legs i hardly find 3 or 4 photos.

common greenshank
These birds are similar to marsh sand pipers. We can distinguish them from the shape of their lower bill . They have long greenish legs. I think i have took this pic from Cherai beech.

Last but not least i am gonna show you all the baby legs . Cute legs of a cute little chick .

This photo was taken , when i went to my friends house.

Since it is about birds feet and legs, i thought of sharing some of the facts that i know about birds legs. May be you all knew this.

The bird with the strongest legs is the ostrich.

Most Birds are digitigrade. Which means instead of walking on their entire feet they walk on their toes.

The sharp claws of birds are also called talons.

I know that the clarity of the photos are not up to the mark. But thats all i have .

THANK YOU

Nice shots and interesting facts.
I hoped somebody to show ostrich feet and legs. 😀

Yeah me too. I have never seen an ostrich. Ostrich are not here in india. But some studies claims that ostriches were once lived in india, like 20000years ago. I dont know whether this is correct or not but some archeologists found pieces of ostrich egg shells over the years from the western part of India.

How interesting. They are not native to our lands, but now we have few ostriches farms.

That baby chick is adorable, nice picture.
Good luck in the contest.

Thank you so much
