One of the very seldom birds here in Austria is the bearded vulture that was extinct and reintroduced to the alps. I already showed you some pictures of the vultures that I found in the Alps in Salzburg where they live free but getting close to them is not reall easy. At the Alpine Zoo in Innsbruck I was able to take some closeup pictures of these birds. They have a very beautiful red eye ring but their general appearance it snot that beautiful I think.
But it is another speices of bird that I managed to photograph and the number of species that I took pictures of is growing and growing. I hope I can visit another country maybe in Africa or south America for another boost in my list of photographed birds.
