European Robin - One of my favorite birds

The european robin is one of my favorite birds because it is beautiful and also very trusting. I have met this robin at the cementary here in Linz where I also like to make my squirrel pictures. It was on one side enjoying the warm sunrays on the cherry tree and hiding in the darker part of the conifer.

Another thing that makes this bird so popular here in Austria and Germany is that it can be seen the whole year round. Especially when you do garden work it can wait nearby and picks up the insects and small worms that you provide her by digging up the soil. A lot of people who do garden work can see this bird more often than others. This is one of the behaviors that make this bird so popular here. It is also a species that you can hear singing the whole day. Some of them sing during the morning, others in the evening.
