Kingfisher sitting on its hunting branch

On several photography trips to the Inn River I was able to take some pictures of the Kingfisher. One day in late Spring it was sitting on a small branch above a small pond where it was probably fishing for some tiny fish. Eventhough the green colors of the plants were pretty dominat it was clearly visible and was sitting there and I could take some pictures of it without using any camouflage. Often it is impossible to get close enough to them for them to flee if you don't use any camouflage or really sit still on a spot where you know it is using for fishing.
