The little bittern is usually bird that tries to hide a lot in reed and therefore it is a little difficult to find. But I know a spot in Vienna where I can find it. I still need to wait a lot of time to get some pictures like these since it is there only during special times and eventhough it is there it is often difficult to see it since most of the time it is standing still for hunting. But as soon as you see it it is very nice for taking pictures since you can concentrate on the object witch is not so common in bird photography.

I always enjoy photographing in Vienna since there are so many beautiful places with wildlife and most of the animals are not so scared compared to animals that can be found for example at the Inn River or in places that are more "wild".

These herons are so funny! Is it by any chance not this species that fishes with bait?
I don't know about the little bittern but I know that the night heron does.
