Last weekend I had the luck to see the "White Tailed Eagle" here near Linz. I know thare is one visiting the spots near the water power plant regulary but still it is not so easy to find it and get some pictures of it like on other spots I know. That's why I am pretty happy that I managed to take some pictures of it last weekend. It flew by on the other side of the river so I couldn't get close to it, even with 600mm focal lengh it was only this small "dot" on the screen. When I know a spot where I really can get even closer to this fantastic birds then this ia a little bit dissapointing but it is like it is and I have to do the best out of the situation even if it is hard sometimes.

I met with Stefan to take some pictures of birds in the morning. In terms of different birds it was pretty hard and only a few ducks and coots where there. So only some were really exciting like this white tailed eagle and the "Yellow-headed caracara" wich was a first time I took pictures of this bird. But it is still winter so it is still very difficult to take some nice bird pictures. In my opinion spring is a lot better and I am already looking forward to it and also to the planned trips to Venice and Hungary this year. :-)
