Welcome everyone. This is Round 141 of the Show Me A Photo or SMAP Contest hosted by @nelinoeva. Check out the contest post here. Hope you can join us in the fun soon.
The theme for this week is:
FREE THEME
I always love this Free Theme weeks because I can post photos of any Feathered Friend I like without any restrictions. I am sort of handicapped a bit when it comes to pictures of birds because I only have a low end cell phone to capture these fleeting creatures and getting a clear shot at point blank distance is close to impossibility. But Free Theme gives me the leeway to show photos of birds, even as majestic as our national bird, the Philippine Eagle even if it is only painted on a wall. Behold, the eagle in street art form.
The Philippine eagle, also known as the monkey-eating eagle or great Philippine eagle, is a critically endangered species of eagle of the family Accipitridae which is endemic to forests in the Philippines. Wikipedia
It also happens to be the national bird of our country, the Philippines. Numerous artists have painted this majestic Feathered Friend. It has been featured in countless articles, exhibits and magazines. In fact, one of the biggest insurance company in our country, Insular Life, has changed its logo to the Philippine Eagle. Speaking of artists, my daughter also made a painting of this eagle using colored pencil. I have in posts past featured this art piece but for those who have not seen it, here it is.
And here's a photo of the real thing.

For this Round I am entering the photo below.
And that's about it for this post. I hope you liked it. Best of luck to all participants. Stay safe everyone and may you all have a great weekend ahead.
(Unless specified, all photos are mine.)
Oh that is a cute eagle wall art. Where is it painted? I wonder who painted it. 😍
Thanks @artgirl. Dito lang yan sa amin sa Davao City. This is actually a continuation of another post which I did for Street Art. Doon sa post na yun pati yung pag paint at kung sino ang artist natsambahan kong nakita. Check mo yung post dito.
Salamat sa bisita 😊
You always have something interesting and I love how you interpret the free theme. 🙂
You have such a majestic bird as a symbol. Your daughter is so talented, I know I've told you that, but I will never be tired to repeat it.
Thank you so much for your entry!
Thank you @nelinoeva. Always a pleasure to be able to join. So happy you enjoyed my post. I missed mentioning in the post that I actually saw the group of students who painted the street art. I was in such a rush to submit the post that I completely forgot about it. Anyway, here's a photo of them painting the wall.
