What a joy to be publishing again in this beautiful ¨FeatheredFriendsCommunity¨: to show you a small video and some beautiful photographs that we have taken with my grandfather's ¨nikoncoolpixb500¨ camera in the forest near our house. While we were walking along the forest paths we could hear some strange noises, and when we looked up we could see these majesties at the top of the tree

This is a bird that we know here by the name ¨carancho¨: a bird that lives in this area of the continent. Although it is a beautiful bird to see, they are not one of those birds that you would have in your home as a pet, they are aggressive, and much larger than what is seen in the video or in the photographs

This type of bird generally feeds on dead, decomposing things, but many times it attacks small rodents. Due to the position and the tree in which they were, apparently they wanted to attack a small monkey that was very close to them a few branches below, I think they did not approach them because they realized we were there, otherwise it would have been unpleasant for the little monkey. This week on ¨Show Me A Photo Contest¨: by Sra. @nelinoeva is a free topic, that is, we can participate with any photograph of birds

It's true, I think they were there because of the little monkey, but I must say that they are beautiful birds.
I like to see them from afar, the fact that they are so aggressive scares me a little.
All that live must eat, carrion birds do a sterling job at cleaning in many parts of the world.
Lovely short video with audio being clear on a breezy day. Keep loving nature and learning more!

It's true what you say lady @joanstewart about wildlife, everyone has to feed themselves in some way to survive.
I am enjoying and learning a lot about wildlife, I like these walks in the company of my grandparents
Having a parent or grandparent who takes you out explaining what you looking at and why is all excellent knowledge stored away in life. Have a lovely day!
Nice! I was in Uruguay this march and I saw a few Caranchos.
