What beautiful memories seeing those photos of the benteveo brings back. Your grandmother is a genius at taking those shots. It's true that they like to be high up in the trees, and in my case, when I lived there, they would perch on a very long wire I had in the garden for hanging clothes. They are solitary in that respect, or rather they mark their territory.
They have a very loud chirp that is impossible to mistake. The saying goes: benteveo, ugly bird. I love the video format so I can better appreciate this beautiful bird, especially for people who don't know it. Thank you very much! A big hug!
