Finch in the park

It's warmed up nicely today. The clouds have dissipated. The sun came out. Although the forecast promised cloudy weather. It's good that the weather forecasters made a mistake with the forecast. By noon, the paths dried up and I decided to go to the park, which is located near the river. In the spring, the first birds always appear there.

I wasn't wrong. Already at the edge I saw a chaffinch. He was sitting on a tree branch near the feeder. I stopped and waited, hoping that he would fly into the feeder. But unfortunately my hopes were not justified. The finch began to fly from one branch to another and looked for something in the square of the tree.

Sometimes he froze on a branch and began to sing his trills. Apparently he was looking for his girlfriend for procreation. It was nice to listen to his melodies after a long winter.

Then he flew to the ground and began to look for food among the fallen leaves. It was interesting. Why didn't he eat food from the feeder, which was located very close to him. After all, the seeds lying there were clearly visible.

Once he flew quite close and looked directly at this feeder. But apparently he liked to look for food under last year's fallen leaves.

The weather was warm. The leaves are already dry. He easily threw them aside and carefully examined the surface that had previously been covered with foliage.

Unfortunately, he apparently did not find enough food for himself. He jumped a little more, and then flapped his wings and flew further to the trees at the edge of the forest.

Sort:

Вот и прилетели! У нас вроде бы тоже должны, но я никак не могу до леса добраться, там все затоплено, не подойти.

У нас тоже пока в низинах и оврагах в лесу даже местами снег лежит.
