Lonely seagull

in Feathered Friends2 years ago

In the spring, many gulls flew to our river. They lived on the river for about one month. We have become accustomed to these noisy creatures. People liked them. Many came to the river to feed them. But gradually these birds became less and less. They flew in small groups to other places. Finally, only a few remained.

But after a while they also flew away. But only one seagull remained on the river. Unclear. Why didn't she fly away? Maybe she liked it. Perhaps she was tired from long flights and decided to rest here and gain strength..

Therefore, she did not fly anywhere, but was constantly in one place. She, too, got used to and adapted to local conditions. Many wild ducks live here in this place. People passing by often leave food for them on the shore. The seagull, noticing this, also began to fly ashore in order not to eat much.

She did not quarrel with ducks. After all, there was enough food for everyone. I think they even became friends. The ducks didn't drive the seagull away from their flock. It was interesting for people on the shore to look at this seagull, which lived with ducks.

The seagull often sat on a log near the shore and waited for people to bring food. Of course she was bored alone. However, the ducks always swam around and she did not feel completely alone.

She constantly took care of herself. She cleaned her feathers and dived into the water. She looked good. I hope she has gained strength for a new autumn flight.

Autumn is coming soon. Apparently, her relatives will fly here for a short time and they will go together to warmer countries.
