Another of those wet days with a twist.

The twist is that some birds bath in the rain. Don't just believe me, come and see for yourself.

Yep, look how mightily the Speckled pigeon shook the water off.

We had to stop in town this morning and it was raining steadily. The weatherman reckons that it will rain for 3 days and this is the normal Cape fairy rain, so everything will be wet until Saturday. Not that we mind at all, as we need the water.
I don't think that the birds mind it either, as they seem to enjoy the fine rain and here you will see some speckled pigeons in action.
Come and look.

At first there was this one guy on a tiled roof in the rain.

Did I tell you that it was raining here?

And here we had a small family, mom, baby in the middle and the dad at the back.

So, this is what we will have until Saturday and you cannot even see the mountains here.

It was the usual, as Marian did the shopping and then came back to where I was waiting in a small restaurant with a mug of coffee. As she was sitting down at my table, three diners arrived to sit at a table at our left. The man put his black case down next to his chair on floor.
Our tables were close to the door. Then three ladies entered and asked a waiter for the toilet key. When she returned from the toilet, they hung around and then the one lady bent down and tried to slip the guy's black case away so that she could leave with it. I shouted loudly at her to put the bag down and she quickly jumped up and proclaimed her innocence. Then the three ladies ran out and disappeared in the crowds.
Turns out that the guy is a lawyer and he and everyone else in the restaurant was very happy that his bag wasn't stolen.
Such is life here.
