🦉 The Eurasian bullfinch, common bullfinch or bullfinch (Pyrrhula pyrrhula)

  • Pyrrhula (Greek): pyrrhos - red

This is one of the most secretive birds. Has anyone seen them in the summer? But they are in the forests. But in spring and summer they are so secretive that they even fly without making a sound and do not pronounce them. I only managed to see them once, completely by accident, in July.

But everything changes when autumn comes. When the leaves have already turned yellow and begin to fall, and the weather becomes cool, these birds become noticeable. They gather in small groups and often whistle to each other. And in winter they can be seen even in courtyards, parks, and groves, where they sit on rowan bushes and eat berries.
