🦉 The common rosefinch (Carpodacus erythrinus)
- Carpodacus Greek: karpos fruit, daknō to bite
- erythrinus erythros (Greek, lat.) red

These colorful birds are among the last to arrive. This is due to the fact that they are very thermophilic, and they also have a special migration route. First they fly far to the east, and then return back to their nesting sites last year

They are completely herbivorous, feeding on seeds, berries, buds and buds of plants. Moreover, nestlings are also fed almost plant foods and only very rarely insects.
In the spring, walking along the edges of the forest, you can hear the males singing with their heads thrown back. They have a catchy song that sounds like "nice to meet you!"
