🦉 The yellowhammer (Emberiza citrinella)

These birds are generally sedentary and winter residents, but in my region they prefer to migrate farther away for the winter, to warmer places. Therefore, with the arrival of spring, they appear early, in late March or early April, as soon as the weather warms up.
They are primarily granivorous, feeding on grass and plant seeds and various cereals. During the breeding season, they consume various insects and worms.
