πŸ¦‰ The Baikal bullfinch (Pyrrhula pyrrhula cineracea), also known as the grey bullfinch, grey-headed bullfinch or great bullfinch

πŸ“š Pyrrhula (Greek): pyrrhos - red

This species of bullfinch is very rare in my region. This is due to their habitat, in mountain forests and in the east. But with the advent of winter, they also fly to my region in search of food.

I met them at the old cemetery. A couple of males flew almost at me, and from a distance I thought it was just a common willow tit.
But what was my surprise when it turned out to be bullfinches! Yes, and gray, I did not even know that such exist!

They sat literally a couple of meters from me on a bush. I very slowly moved away from them to take a photo, afraid to frighten them away. But they were not at all afraid of me, unlike the common bullfinch familiar to all of us. And also, I noticed that they are more talkative than common bullfinches.
