A stocky, short-tailed, nimble buddy.
He lives in any type of forest, and in winter he can be found even in the courtyards of cities near feeders. I have a couple of places in the city, city parks, where nuthatches live all year round, because they are constantly fed there, and from hands. And from this, the nuthatch completely ceased to be afraid of people and independently beg for food from passers-by.

These birds are known for their ability to move through the trees in any direction. All in order to look for food in the trees, as well as hide it there.
