🦉 The great tit (Parus major)

📚 Parus (lat.) Tit
📚 major (lat.) large

I love these guys! And I think they are very underrated. Probably due to the fact that people are used to seeing them often.
These birds are quite smart. Their language is made up of many sounds, including different keys, accents, and sounds meant for different distances. For example, near and among themselves, they pronounce a sound once. At medium distances, these two sounds, and for long distances, three.

The level of alarm is also indicated (moreover, it is divided into air danger in the form of birds of prey, and ground dangers).
But that's not all! These tit sounds can be combined into complex phrases and sentences. For example, the sound of the location + the sound of a calm environment. I noticed that such a sentence is usually said in the spring.

Since these birds participate in mixed bird flocks, they may occasionally try to repeat the sounds of other birds from this flock, such as nuthatch, the so-called "mimicry". For what, it is not clear. Their language is very difficult.
