π¦ The coal tit or cole tit (Periparus ater)
π Peri (Greek) very, hugely;
π Parus (lat.) Tit
π ater (lat.) black, dark
It is very strange, but for some reason this species of tits is absent from the forests near cities in winter. Although this bird is wintering and sedentary. But in winter it can be found in villages, which means that the bird prefers forests in winter rather than settlements and parks with feeders.
Mostly she lives in coniferous forests, and in smaller quantities in mixed ones.
With the arrival of spring, they appear in the forests that I visit. They actively sing mating songs and are looking for a partner. And after the mating season, almost everyone flies away again, only a small number remain.
