๐ฆ The long-tailed tit or long-tailed bushtit (Aegithalos caudatus)
๐ Aegithalos (Greek): tit
๐ caudatus (lat.): tailed
In general, it is wrong to attribute this cute charmer to Paridae family. Genetically, this is a completely different species of bird, and belongs to its own separate family - Aegithalidae.
In some countries, this bird is called a ladle, for its resemblance to this kitchen appliance. A small round body and a long tail, well, why not a ladle?
They are found in all types of forests. Specifically, I photographed these cuties in a coniferous forest. As usual, they were in a small flock. These birds, in principle, are not alone, except in the summer, when one of the parents is looking for food for the nestlings.
