🦉 The common chaffinch or simply the chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs)

Although these birds are migratory, however, in some regions they remain to winter if the weather permits, namely if the winter is warm. In this case, you should not believe encyclopedias, books. Because it is individual for each region and country. I read in one encyclopedia that these birds fly away already in mid-October. However, here, in cold Siberia, I met these birds even in November, during frosts! Please be aware that bird behavior may vary from area to area.

And with regards to these photos, this is the beginning of April. The sun is warming, the snow is melting. And this pugnacious gentleman was looking for something to eat in the melting snow.

Yesterday I stopped to hear the chaffinch singing in the park. I tried to make a vidro clip to record its singing, but I failed. However, it was very sweet song and I am pleased to see this bird every day.

Behavior does differ greatly depending on the area, and even the year, doesn't it? Lovely photos!
