Sivi krunasti ždralovi, (Balearica regulorum), izmamiće uvek osmeh svojim zabavnim izgledom i bojama perja. Poseban pečat daje im prepoznatljiva kruna na glavi sastavljena od oštrih zlatnih pera koja podsećaju na sunčeve zrake.
Veoma su društvene ptice. Stanovnici afričkog kontinenta, žive u jatima koja mogu brojati od 30 do 150 jedinki. Volela bih da uživo vidim veliko jato. Kakav bi to bio prizor?
