En marzo del 2023 logré contratar servicio de fibra óptica, lo que trajo como consecuencia que me adentrara un poco más en el mundo de los routers doble banda; en mi caso, la compañía con la que contraté no asigna un dispositivo, por lo que compré uno de acuerdo a lo que la compañía especificó.
En ese momento adquirí un D-Link DIR-822 del cual compartí mi Unboxing en ese momento, y hasta no sé exactamente cuándo resultó funcional, ya que el plan contratado en un comienzo era de 10 megas, pero poco a poco han ido subiendo el plan mínimo y por ello este router se quedó corto, porque solo transmite hasta 100 Mbps, por lo que me vi obligada a conseguir un nuevo router.
Pensando en adquirir algo que sea útil más en el tiempo, y notando que la compañía continuará aumentando los MB de los planes, ya que ahora tienen mucha competencia en el mercado, adquiri un Mercusys AX3000.
Investigué junto con mi esposo diferentes opciones y al final nos decidimos por esta marca y modelo, sobre todo porque todos sus puertos son gigabit, algo muy importante para los que tenemos servicio de internet por fibra óptica.
Esta modelo soporta hasta 3000 Mbps, además, posee un canal de 160 MHz en la banda de 5 GHz. Esto significa que puede alcanzar velocidades más altas; además, me encanta su función de conexión inteligente, es decir, elige la mejor banda disponible para cada dispositivo, función que suele estar disponible en modelos Wi-Fi-6. Se puede elegir entre configurar las bandas 2.4 GHz y 5GHz y que cada usuario se conecte a la que le plazca u optar por la conexión inteligente; yo opté por esta opción y me parece excelente.
Ahora bien, hablando en sí del contenido de su caja, en ella se encuentra el router, su cable de alimentación, un cable Ethernet y las respectivas guías de usuario. En cuanto a precio, en algunas tiendas está en 55 $ si paga en divisas; yo lo compré en 89 $ en Mundo Total, haciendo uso de su línea de crédito.
