Where Winds Meet is a new F2P game now available completely free for PC and PS5 players. It boasts high-quality graphics and a very popular gameplay concept, making it absolutely worth trying out. I recently learned about its availability and decided to download it to get a better look, so today I'm bringing you my first impressions.

Where Winds Meet un nuevo F2P que está a disposición para jugadores de PC y PS5 totalmente gratis, cuenta con una calidad gráfica alta y una propuesta de juego muy popular, que hacen que valga la pena ponerlo a prueba. Recientemente me he enterado de su disponibilidad y he decido descargarlo para conocerlo mejor, así que hoy les traigo mis primeras impresiones.
The first thing you notice is that it's an open-world action-adventure RPG from the Chinese action wuxia genre. This term might not sound familiar, but if you've seen the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, it belongs to this genre, which tells stories of heroes and knights from this culture. The game is set in the 10th century, where you play as a warrior swordsman practicing forgotten combat techniques.
Lo primero que notas es que es un RPG de acción, aventura y de mundo abierto del género de acción chino wuxia, puede que no te suene familiar, pero si viste la película El Tigre y el Dragón esta pertenece a este género, el cual relata historias de héroes y caballeros de esta cultura. El juego está ambientado en el siglo X donde eres un guerrero espadachín que pone en práctica técnicas olvidadas en el combate.
In Where Winds Meet, it's all about becoming legendary amid the political upheaval in China, a time full of power struggles, which is an ideal setting for a warrior. It reminds me a bit of Red Dead Redemption, where your actions build your reputation. If you defied the law, you'd become an outlaw hunted by justice, but if you helped others and upheld justice, you'd begin to be seen as a hero. This game is identical; it has a reputation system to forge a legacy.
Where Winds Meet todo se trata de hacerse legendario en medio del crecimiento político de China, que está llena de luchas por el poder, lo cual es un escenario ideal para un guerrero. Me recuerda un poco a Red Dead Redemption donde tus acciones te forjaban reputación, si desafiabas la ley te convertirás en forajido buscado por la justicia, pero si ayudaba a otros e impartías justicia, comenzabas a ser héroe, este juego es idéntico, tiene un sistema de reputación para forjar un legado.
As a wuxia action game, the core focus here is on Chinese martial arts. The combat is fast yet flexible. You start by learning to fight right away; you have a bit of parrying with counters that trigger special attacks, which you can transform into incredible combos. The game has an endless array of weapons that allow you to develop your own combat style. Furthermore, there are martial arts schools focused on different roles like damage, control, or healing.
Al ser un juego de acción wuxia lo principal aquí son las artes marciales chinas. El combate es rápido pero a la vez flexible. Comienzas por aprender a lucha apenas comienzas, tienes un poco de parri con counters que desencadenan ataques especiales, que puedes transformar en combos increíbles. El juego tiene una infinidad de armas que te permiten desarrollar tu propio estilo de combate, de paso hay escuelas de artes marciales enfocadas en diferentes roles como daño, control o sanación.
After you briefly learn how to fight, you move on to creating your character. It has a quite extensive layer of customization, where the most detail-oriented players can spend hours until they create their favorite-looking character. The game's community is growing larger, and people are starting to share character looks based on famous figures from the world of video games, real life, and anime.
Luego de que aprendes brevemente como luchar, pasas a crear a tu personaje. Tiene una capa de personalización bastante amplia, donde los mas detallistas pueden pasar horas hasta crear su personaje de apariencia favorita. La comunidad del juego se hace cada vez más grande y se están comenzando a compartir aspectos de personajes famosos del mundo de los videojuegos, la vida real y el anime.
The world appears to be massive. I was only able to explore a little, but there are more than 20 regions with many characters to interact with, along with the promise of plenty of activities to do and vibrant NPC life. According to those who have been playing for a while, everything the game offers could easily take about 150 hours to complete solo or with up to 4 friends in an uninterrupted cooperative mode.
El mundo al parecer es masivo, fue poco lo que puede explorar pero hay mas de 20 regiones donde hay muchos personajes con los que interactuar, con la promesa de que hay bastantes actividades por hacer y con mucha vida de npcs, que según los que ya llevan tiempo jugándolo, todo lo que tiene fácilmente te llevaría completarlo unas 150 horas en solitario o hasta 4 amigos en un modo cooperativo sin interrupciones.
The million-dollar question is: why is a game that offers so much F2P? Simple: it has microtransactions. So far, the promise is that it won't be pay-to-win, with all transactions focused on cosmetics, but perhaps this will change over time. Another major detail I noticed is the FPS drop. Even I, who am not that great at perceiving the fluidity difference when you go from 30 to 60, could easily notice this issue. Perhaps they'll adjust it later on, but we can't be too demanding with a free game.
La pregunta del millón es ¿porqué un juego que ofrece tanto es F2P? Sencillo: tiene micropagos. Hasta el momento la promesa es que no será pay to win, todas las transacciones son en cosméticos, pero quizás esto cambie con el tiempo. Otro gran detalles que note es la caida de FPS, yo que no soy tan bueno para percibir la fluidez de cuando pasas de 30 a 60, me puede dar cuenta fácilmente de este problema, quizás lo ajusten más adelante, pero no hay que ser tan exigentes con un juego gratis.

Vos sabes que justo ésta mañana me salió un Reel que hablaba de éste juego. Se ve realmente muy buenooo, entre los graficazos y las mecánicas de parry, es para pegarle una buena cantidad de horas.

¡DIOOOS! Pero ¿qué clase de juego es este y por qué no me había enterado de su existenciaaaaaa? Es increíble que esto sea gratuito porque realmente se ve demasiado impresionante, siento que es de esos juegos que harán que la creatividad salga a flote desde el primer momento en que lo customizamos, y con lo que mencionaste de los FPS siento que el factor de ser gratuito influye, pero bueno, tienen un modelo de negocio que les funciona y veremos cómo se irá desarrollando.

UFFF, pero qué gráficos tan hermosos, asombrosa personalización de personajes y el estilo de lucha, no sabía que tenían este juego en F2P, así que vamos a reclamarlo jajajaja, por cierto vuelvo a destacar los asombrosos gráficos que tiene este juego, gracias por compartirlo bro.
