Today I decided to dust off my old and antique consoles. To show you an important piece of what was my childhood and in part, my adolescence.


Hoy decidí desempolvar mis consolas viejas y antiguas. Para enseñarles un trozo importante de lo que fue mi niñez y en parte, mi adolescencia.

🔹🔸 NINTENDO GAME CUBE 🔸🔹


Actually, I was very lucky to have this console. Since in Latin America, it was not very demanded or coveted. It was a gift from a family member, who from time to time travels to the United States.

Realmente, tuve mucha suerte al tener esta consola. Ya que en Latinoamérica, no fue muy demandada o codiciada. Fue un regalo de un familiar, que cada cierto tiempo viaja a Estados Unidos.

Beyond nostalgia and affection, I love the aesthetics of this console. I find the controls beautiful and comfortable. The purple color suits it perfectly and its square shape is striking and amazing.

Más allá de la nostalgia y el cariño, me encanta la estética de esta consola. Los controles me parecen preciosos y cómodos. El color violeta le queda perfecto y su forma cuadrada es llamativa y asombrosa.

The games I enjoyed the most on this console, by far, are Super Smash Bros Melee and Super Mario Sunshine. TWO GREAT GAMES. I remember that with my brother we spent all day playing and trying to discover new characters in Smash Bros. If you notice the controls deteriorated, it's because we destroyed them while playing this title 😅.

Los juegos que más disfruté de esta consola, con muchísima diferencia, son Super Smash Bros Melee y Super Mario Sunshine. DOS PEDAZOS DE JUEGOS. Recuerdo que con mi hermano nos lo pasábamos todo el día jugando y tratando de descubrir nuevos personajes en Smash Bros. Si notan deteriorados los controles, es porque los destruimos al Juagar este título 😅.

🔹🔸 NINTENDO 64 🔸🔹


Although this is the predecessor of the Game Cube, it is a good console. One that I enjoyed and appreciated a lot. To the point that as I write this, I'm looking forward to plugging it back in and playing it for a couple of hours.

Aunque esta es la predecesora de la Game Cube, es una buena consola. Que disfruté y valoré mucho. Al punto de que mientras escribo esto, tengo ganas de volverla a conectar y jugar un par de horas.

I'm going to be honest with you, something I always disliked about this console is the controls. They are too uncomfortable and impractical. Aside from being excessively large. That aspect aside, the console is acceptable and practical. It does not have too many complications. Put the cartridge in, turn it on and that's it.

Voy a ser honesto con ustedes, algo que siempre me disgustó de esta consola son los controles. Son demasiados incómodos y poco prácticos. Aparte, de ser excesivamente grandes. Quitando ese aspecto, la consola es aceptable y práctica. No tiene demasiadas complicaciones. Poner el cartucho, prender y listo.

Definitely, the games that I enjoyed and enjoyed the most with this console, was Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2. You could say that my fanaticism towards Pokémon games, is largely due to this console. I have beautiful memories where I was sitting on the floor thinking and planning my team. My strategy to defeat the high command and Mewtwo.

Definitivamente, los juegos que más disfruté y gocé de esta consola, fue Pokemon Stadium 1 y 2. Se podría decir que mi fanatismo hacia los juegos de Pokémon, se debe en gran parte a esta consola. Tengo recuerdos hermosos donde estaba sentado en el suelo pensando y planificando mi equipo. Mi estrategia para vencer el alto mando y a Mewtwo.

The last thing I want to say is that I am very surprised at how strong and durable these consoles are. Really, they were assembled with a lot of love. I have seen videos where they put their resistance to the test through shocks and falls. It is amazing and fascinating how much they are able to withstand.

Lo último que quiero decir, es que me sorprende mucho los resistentes y duraderas que son estas consolas. Realmente, fueron ensambladas con mucho cariño. He visto videos donde ponen a prueba sus resistencias a través de golpes y caídas. Es asombroso y fascinante todo lo que son capaces de soportar.

    No las viví yo de cerca ya que nunca me llegaron a comprar una de estas pero sí pude jugar con ella ya que amigos o familiares tenían una y de verdad que eran momentos sumamente increíbles.

    Es que estas consolas, para mi, son muy buenas para jugar entre varias personas. Muy buenos momentos tienen esas consolas.

      Oye buena colección, yo tuve un 64 pero por Goldeneye y luego mis hermanos compraron Pokemon Stadium si mal no recuerdo, buenos recuerdos, y ahhhhh Smash Brother, jugar de cuatro controles fue ufff de lo mejor.

      Nunca tuve la suerte de jugar sl Smash con 4 controles jaja. Eso debe ser una locura.
