My 3Speaking Today

Hey, what's up, players! From here I send you a warm greeting and as always I am very pleased to be bringing the content of my gaming 3Speak channel to this very interesting Geekzone community. For those who are not aware of all the hidden potential that the mythical Nintendo handheld console, the Game Boy Advance, tends to possess, it may seem somewhat strange to learn that on this console there exist ports of video games belonging to franchises as iconic as, to cite one example, this magnificent Grand Theft Auto: Advance, which gives us the opportunity to have an authentic GTA in portable form. And when I say authentic, I say so because for example I believe that entries of the iconic Rockstar Games saga that were also ported to handheld consoles, such as Grand Theft Auto 1 & 2, do not actually feel like a GTA itself as we know it, since these seem to be set in a completely different universe from what is commonly seen in the saga, which was truly popular after its Grand Theft Auto 3 installment. In this GTA Advance we have all the main features of the so-called 3D universe GTAs. In fact, if one looks closely at this Game Boy Advance game, we have a faithful recreation of the Liberty City that was presented to us for the first time in GTA 3, in addition to perfectly replicating the HUD section of the third installment, which makes you feel even more as though you are starring in an adventure from the already legendary car theft saga.

Mike's adventures continue to be guided by his friend Vinnie, who does not stop sinking them deeper into his apparent attempt to escape from the tumultuous Liberty City. This time everything becomes even more complicated for Mike, as Vinnie asks him to go and retrieve a very fast car located in Atlantic Quays, that being the mythical 'Banshee', one of the fastest cars in the GTA saga and one that is very beloved by players. However, not everything would be so straightforward, as it turns out that upon arriving to get the car, it was being guarded, so we had to use force in order to get out of the port area and take it to get a new coat of paint at the iconic car repair shop 'Pay 'n' Spray'. After repainting it and thus losing the two wanted stars we had obtained after stealing the car, the game gives us an introduction to the mechanic of repainting cars, which is something really great and is consistent with what is mentioned in the first paragraph of this post. After repainting the car we proceed to take it to our hideout to supposedly use it in our escape from Liberty City.

At around minute 02:12 of the gameplay we can see how we receive a message on our beeper from Vinnie telling us not to leave any witnesses... here we can clearly see Vinnie's manipulation of Mike : / , who was thinking it would be a simple job of just stealing a car and taking it to be repainted. By the way, it is worth noting how important it is to save ammunition in this game since it tends to be scarce, at least at the beginning of the game. So in order to take down the Banshee's guards we did so using only the baseball bat, ha ha! On another note, we then completed another mission that involved yet another manipulation by Vinnie, sending us to collect protection money from the Mafia on behalf of a certain Federico, which turned out to be Blood Money guarded by the dangerous Hoods gang in the Trenton neighborhood. But luckily we were able to overcome these obstacles with the help of our powerful shotgun, which we obtained after robbing several police cars, ha ha! Well, with nothing more to add for today, I bid you farewell, but not without first thanking you for your time and for your support of this gaming channel on 3Speak. Cheers and until the next gameplay.
