El despido, anunciado el 17 de noviembre de 2023, se debió a la falta de consistencia en la comunicación de Altman con los directivos, lo que según el comunicado de OpenAI obstaculizó su capacidad para cumplir con sus responsabilidades.
La junta directiva perdió la confianza en su capacidad para liderar la empresa. Mira Murati, la directora de tecnología de OpenAI, ha asumido el cargo de CEO en reemplazo de Altman.
Este noticia nos recuerda a la que se publico en 1985, cuando Steve Jobs fue despedido de Apple la compañía que el fundó. Tiempo después regreso a Apple.

OpenAI dismissed Sam Altman, its leader and founder, the visionary behind the revolutionary artificial intelligence of ChatGPT.
The termination, announced on November 17, 2023, was due to the inconsistency in Altman's communication with the executives, which, according to OpenAI's statement, hindered his ability to fulfill his responsibilities.
The board of directors lost confidence in his ability to lead the company. Mira Murati, OpenAI's Chief Technology Officer, has assumed the position of CEO, replacing Altman.
This news reminds us of the one published in 1985 when Steve Jobs was ousted from Apple, the company he founded. He later returned to Apple.
