I’m sorry your mum left you all so soon; that will undoubtedly leave a mark on you for life, but it has also given you the chance to become stronger and grow as a person. It’s normal that, over time, you’ve come to understand your dad better; well done for that, because not everyone is capable of being so generous. Don’t blame yourself for something you’re not responsible for; move forward and be the role model you want to be for your own child. You’re on the right track.

But instead of blaming ourselves and giving up, make these challenges as motivation to stand up for ourselves and show the very best that we can do. I completely agree with everything you said here. Losing a mum so young really does leave a mark, but like you said, it can also make a person stronger, and it sounds like @aileen07 has truly grown from it. You're so right that not everyone can reach that level of understanding towards a parent, so that says a lot about her character.
And yes, the best thing she can do now is keep moving forward and be that role model for her own child. 🌱
