I’m sorry your mum left you all so soon; that will undoubtedly leave a mark on you for life, but it has also given you the chance to become stronger and grow as a person. It’s normal that, over time, you’ve come to understand your dad better; well done for that, because not everyone is capable of being so generous. Don’t blame yourself for something you’re not responsible for; move forward and be the role model you want to be for your own child. You’re on the right track.
You’ve got some good mentors, follow their recommendation. I’d just encourage you to explore the communities I’ve linked below and I wish you the best of luck.
