Imagine you driving in you Mercedes Benz AMG GT on a lonely and quiet street and you saw... A kid crossing carelessly but you really need to stop you've already slammed the brakes but your brain is saying that you're too close the brakes won't work, you can't change lane cause a car is coming in that lane. But miraculously, the car stopped... What happened?

Hello Everyone it's @kelismart talking about Braking Assistant
Braking Assistant also known as Emergency Brake Assist as the name implies aids the driver in emergency brake situations. It works well in situations of sudden brake.
They make sure the brakes are applied completely in case of an emergency if the driver is unable to respond quickly. It happens most times in sudden braking, driver not able to step on the brake pedal fully. An average human is not equipped with cat reflexes to act so fast to avoid destruction like in sudden braking where any wasted millisecond can be catastrophic.
How It Work
The electronic senses the speed and forces with which the driver stepped on the brake pedal and apply additional pressure on the pedal for full braking. A travel sensory attached to the brake pedal allows the BA system apply more pressure for quicker braking. It detects when the driver makes an emergency brake and not minding the pressure already applied, the car will stop completely because of the presence of BA.
Component of BA
- Accelerator sensor
- Brake sensor
- ECU
Let Me Explain
ECU measure high braking intensity with the help of data received from the accelerator and brake sensors and determines whether the driver has encountered an emergency or not. If an emergency top is detected, the ECU orders the brake boosters (a pert brake system that can control braking pressure) to apply more pressure on brakes so that vehicles could be brought to a quick stop.
Modern BA system can:
- Detect Sudden leg removal from the gas pedal
- Receive crash warning from sensors or camera crash system.

Mercedes Benz was the first manufacturer to offer this system as a standard feature on all it's vehicles since 1998.
That's it for braking system.
