¡Hola Hola mis queridos amigos de Hive! Espero hayan pasado unas buenas vacaciones carnavalescas y hayan disfrutado mucho. Yo les comento que este fin de semana fueron las fiestas de carnaval de mi ciudad y la verdad es que no había disfrutado tanto una celebración como esta, hasta a mi esposo que no es muy amante de los eventos masivos, le gustó y disfrutó mucho de estas fiestas. Acompañamos las comparsas con gusto, cantamos y bailamos hasta no poder más jajaja.
Hello Hello my dear friends of Hive! I hope you had a great carnival vacation and enjoyed it very much. I tell you that this weekend were the carnival festivities in my city and the truth is that I had not enjoyed so much a celebration like this, even my husband who is not very fond of mass events, liked and enjoyed a lot of these parties. We accompanied the comparsas with pleasure, we sang and danced until we could no more hahaha.
Como en años anteriores, nos tocó cubrir el evento pero les comento que la verdad disfrutamos mucho de la actividad y no sentimos que estábamos trabajando en absoluto. Siento que a medida que va pasando el tiempo, se vuelve todo más sencillo gracias a la experiencia que vamos adquiriendo.
Este año cambió un poquito el trayecto que estarían recorriendo las comparsas por lo que nos tocó salir corriendo cuando nos dimos cuenta que ya estábamos pasando la hora pautada para el encuentro de los grupos en el punto de salida.
As in previous years, we had to cover the event, but we really enjoyed the activity and did not feel that we were working at all. I feel that as time goes by, everything becomes easier thanks to the experience we are acquiring.
This year the route that the groups would be taking changed a little bit, so we had to run when we realized that we were already past the scheduled time for the groups to meet at the starting point.
Llegamos y me encantó ver la cantidad de comparsas que habían al momento que inició el recorrido. Hubó demasiada creatividad este año y como amante de todo lo que tenga que ver con disfraces no pude evitar tomarle foto a todo lo que me llamaba la atención.
We arrived and I was delighted to see the amount of comparsas that were there when the parade started. There was so much creativity this year and as a lover of everything that has to do with costumes I couldn't help but take pictures of everything that caught my attention.
Habían tantos looks espectaculares que fácilmente pude haber acabado con la memoria de la cámara en su momento jajaja. Fue muy divertido para mi estar correteando entre las comparsas capturando todos los momentos posibles. En esta ocasión hubo participantes que hasta vinieron de municipios aledaños.
There were so many spectacular looks that I could have easily ended up with the memory of the camera at the time hahaha. It was a lot of fun for me to be running around among the comparsas capturing as many moments as possible. This time there were participants who even came from neighboring municipalities.
Finalmente llegamos al lugar donde se llevarían a cabo todas las presentaciones y he de decirles que este año dieron el todo por el toodo. No escatimaron en imaginación. Se notó el esfuerzo de cada participante por dar un buen show.
Finally we arrived at the place where all the presentations would take place and I have to tell you that this year they went all out. They did not skimp on imagination. You could see the effort of each participant to put on a good show.
Menos mal no fui uno de los jurados de esa noche porque de verdad que la tuvieron difícil para elegir el ganador. Muchos grupos se esmeraron y dieron lo mejor y hasta más. Siento que la gente quedó satisfecha por el resultado y todos nos fuimos satisfechos y hablando con emoción sobre todo lo que sucedió.
It's a good thing I wasn't one of the jurors that night because they really had a hard time choosing the winner. Many groups did their best and gave their best and even more. I feel that people were satisfied with the result and we all left satisfied and talking with emotion about everything that happened.
Aunque nuestro trabajo no terminó, la noche siguiente nos tocó cubrir por tercer año consecutivo el concurso de las negritas de carnaval. Vemos como las personas aprovechan su anonimato debajo de estos disfraces y dejan salir toda su personalidad sabiendo que nadie conoce quien se encuentra detrás de ese traje con el fin de gozarse la competencia y al mismo tiempo la gente disfruta de este show y de las ocurrencias de los participantes
Although our work was not finished, the following night we had to cover for the third consecutive year the contest of the negritas de carnaval. We see how people take advantage of their anonymity under these costumes and let out all their personality knowing that no one knows who is behind that costume in order to enjoy the competition and at the same time people enjoy this show and the witticisms of the participants.
Les diré que este año quedé gratamente asombrada por la cantidad de concursantes puesto que el año pasado apenas se inscribieron cuatro personas aunque eso no fue impedimento para que se llevara a cabo un gran show pero esta vez fueron diez negritas las que se presentaron sobre el escenario dándonos todo un espectáculo de diversión. Por un momento olvidé que estaba trabajando y me disfruté todo el evento.
I will tell you that this year I was pleasantly surprised by the number of contestants since last year only four people registered although that was not an impediment for a great show to take place but this time there were ten black girls who were presented on stage giving us a whole show of fun. For a moment I forgot I was working and enjoyed the whole event.
Puedo decirles que este fue el show que más disfruté y creo que me estoy debatiendo fuertemente en tal vez presentarme el siguiente año ¿ustedes que piensan? Bueno, tengo todo un año para pensarlo jajaj, lo importante es que se gozó y se pasó un rato espectacular.
I can tell you that this was the show I enjoyed the most and I think I am strongly debating on maybe presenting next year, what do you think? Well, I have a whole year to think about it hahaha, the important thing is that you enjoyed it and had a spectacular time.
