Hello, Hive World welcome to my story. I will be sharing with you how we celebrate the banquet for families and the camaraderie of each member. Let's go!
The month of February was celebrated as a love month (though we can celebrate it every month) it is because we celebrate Valentine's Day. It was just an ordinary celebration but we decided to make it special for our families.
Before the exact date, we agreed to bring food and share it all. We also invited a guest speaker to speak to us about the importance of family.
Last Sunday, February 25 was the big day. Everyone was very busy preparing. The youth also were busy doing the decoration. It was a heart-shaped arc made of stainless string. At first, they were about to give up when they put the red balloon but later we decided just to cut red paper and make a design on it.
It is indeed a well-done decoration, simple and beautiful. I was doing the cooking in the kitchen, I prepared menudo, fried ribs, spaghetti, and fruit salad. The families from other places came and brought food. Some bring lechon, cakes, seashells, lumpia, and many more. We did not expect to have a lot of food on the table.
The program was about to begin when every family was lined up outside and called one by one. They have their tables assigned to sit. We recognized each family and took pictures. The program begins with a song and a message. Everyone was so touched that they could not hold back tears to fall in their eyes. The youth department also had a short skit presented.
It was a lovely evening for everybody, and the most awaited moment had come. Everyone went downstairs to line up and grab some food for dinner. The food was so delicious and everybody enjoyed it.
Each family on the table was enjoying the food and the bond together. From the kids to the parents all of them cherished the moment they had that night.
Waves of laughter filled the air, while joy and happiness were shown in the faces of everyone. It was a wonderful night for all of us -the family.
The night was far spent and there was still a lot of food on the table. We distributed it to each family so they could have food to go. Some of our ladies started to clean and wash the utensils that we used. The youth were cleaning the venue and not very long we finished all the chores
Our driver brings the kids to their homes together with their parents. And so everyone departed to their own houses.
The event made a big impact on the togetherness of each family. Nowadays there are a lot of families who does not eat together or enjoy each company. Lot of kids are far from their parents emotional needs and even parents let go of their children on social media rather than being together with them. Most of our time even in our houses doesn't care too much because we are hooked up on it.
I hope every parent will find a way to bring their children closer together. May each children find solace in their parent's presence rather than social media. May every one of us accept who we are and appreciate every person around us so we can feel accepted and taken care of. May, we feel loved and appreciated first by our family and the people around us.
