I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. It’s always a joy to share a little moments of life here in the Family & Friends community a place where simple stories, heartfelt connections and genuine experiences are truly matter. Today, I want to share something special that reminded me of how important it is to reconnect with people we care about.

Life has a way of moving so fast that we don’t always notice how much time has passed. Two whole months slipped by before Azura and I finally had the chance to see each other again. Ever since the earthquake happened, our schedules changed, priorities shifted, and life felt uncertain. Though we chatted online, nothing compared to being able to sit together and really talk. That’s why today meant more than just a simple meet up it felt like a breath of comfort we both needed. We finally found time that matched for both of us, and without overthinking it, we decided to meet at Uncle Brew Café. It’s cozy, calm and the perfect place to reconnect after being apart for so long. The moment we saw each other, all the distance, stress and stories we missed suddenly didn’t feel heavy anymore. Everything felt natural, like no time had passed at all.

We ordered our favorites to make the moment even better: two French fries, one BBQ and one sour cream because fries are always a must when catching up. We also ordered two frappes, a Matcha for something earthy and calming, and a Strawberry for that sweet, refreshing vibe. And to complete it, we got one Mango Frozen Yogurt, which added the perfect mix of creamy, fruity goodness to our table.

As we ate, we jumped from one topic to another school, family updates, the stress after the earthquake, and even the little joys that helped us survive the past weeks. Talking to Azura reminded me how healing it is to spend time with someone who truly understands you. Sometimes, you don’t need a fancy trip or big celebration. Sometimes, a small café, shared food and real conversation are more than enough.

Moments like this make me appreciate friendship even more. Distance and challenges don’t weaken real connections they make them stronger. Today reminded me that no matter what happens, we will always find our way back to the people who matter. As we wrapped up our little café date, I felt grateful. Grateful for time, for healing, for good food and especially for Azura my friend. Life may shake us but friends are the steady places we can always come home to.

May we all continue cherishing the people who make our days lighter no matter the distance and no matter the time. Until our next story, Hivers!
