Of course, this day was extra special because it was Zuyen birthday! Zuyen is from Mandaue City, and she wanted to celebrate here in Bogo City with us and with her three new friends. Even though she is the oldest in our group, she’s kind of a spoiled little baby sometimes hehe so, we made sure she had the best day ever.

We brought some food and drinks as our gift, made sure everyone was full, and spent a long time chatting before taking more photos. Hugs, poses, silly faces we nailed it! Every picture captured our real smiles and happiness. We wanted to took more photos under the sun. The wind was soft, and it made our hair move gently. Every time someone took a picture, everyone else tried to squeeze into the frame. We giggled and pushed each other playfully because we wanted to be close. It felt nice to be with people who make you feel comfortable. We did not worry about how we looked. We did not worry about time. We only enjoyed the moment.

When we reached the beach, the sound of the waves made the day feel calm. The water sparkled because the sun was shining on it. We sat on the rocks and talked about simple things. We shared stories, we joked around, and we looked at the sea together. Even if our talks were light and easy, they still made us feel close to each other. Sometimes you do not need deep words to feel connected. Just being beside each other is enough.

We took more photos and the ocean was behind us the sky was big and clear. Everything felt peaceful. The day was simple, but it felt special in our hearts. As we sat by the shore, watching the waves, a question came into my mind:
Why does being with friends make even a small day feel big and full?
I think the answer is that friends make life sweeter. Friends make us feel safe, loved, and understood. They make the world feel less scary. They make little things feel important. Even sitting and laughing can become a treasure when you share it with people who care about you. The sunset made the day feel warm and gentle. It was like the sky was saying goodbye in a pretty way.
“Sometimes, the smallest days become the biggest memories.”
