I still can't believe my baby boy just turned ONE!
His first birthday was such a big deal for me, and I was so excited to celebrate this milestone in a way that felt magical and full of love. I went with a blue Mickey Mouse theme because he's just the cutest little character—and honestly, I might be a bit of a fan myself.
I put a lot of heart into decorating everything myself. The best part? I created a giant Mickey Mouse shape entirely out of balloons! It took time and patience, but seeing it come together was such a proud moment. The room was filled with blue decor—balloons everywhere, Mickey Mouse cutouts, and the sweetest Mickey-themed cake that looked (and tasted!) amazing. My son’s face lit up when he saw everything, and even though he’s still so little, I could tell he felt the joy and energy around him.
Family and friends came together to celebrate, and the day was full of laughter, cake smashes, and memories I’ll hold close forever. His first birthday reminded me how fast time flies and how special these little moments really are. I couldn’t have asked for a better day!
No party is complete without some tasty treats, and I wanted to add a personal touch by making a homemade snack for everyone to enjoy. I put together a simple but delicious snack that was both kid-friendly and loved by the adults too! It felt so special to serve something made with love from my own kitchen, and seeing everyone enjoy it—especially the little ones—made me so happy. It added a cozy, homemade vibe to the whole celebration, and I’m so glad I included it in the party plans.
