To my only child
The only true gift God gave me. My sun that rises from the East. My beloved in whom i am well pleased. A beginning that brought much hope and smile into the family.
Each passing day, i see you move into the realm of adulthood. How are you coping without my physical guidance? How is the adulthood treating you?
Can you cope with the responsibility of adding another person into the fold?
My child, how is your financial life? Are you still reckless? Have you overcome your addiction? Has the spirit left you?
My child, when are you bringing a "WOMAN" home?
I am not getting any younger ever since your Dad left us. That shock has made me much older. When do i bless your union? Hmmmm? Question left unanswered.
Just yesterday, your best friend got married but you were nowhere to be found in the arena.
Guess, you were happy and grieving wherever you are ?
My child, it is time to shade weights drawing you down because you have lost more than you gained. I weep every moment i remember my joy is now turning to sorrow, my sun rise turning to sunset just in a blink of an eye.
My child, what happened to your relationship? I was so fond of this lady that i called "my baby".
Was it your fault or hers? Can the relationship be amended?
My child, why do you weep at night? What hurts you so bad that you cannot close your eyes and drive down sleep lanes ? Would you wanna share?
My child, always remember God is the one true healer of wounds whether self inflicted or not!
My child, what is your financial status? You appear cold in answering my questions. I see your eyes full of tears and regrets. What troubles your fragile heart?
Always remember i love you no matter the situation.
Get back on your feet, enter the track and compete.
The battle is never lost as long as you are ready to give it another shot.
