Finding the Perfect Pair

Hello, my dear Hivers!

This blog is the continuation of my previous post about spending the evening with my brother. This time, he finally arrived in Bogo, and we headed to the shoe store called Soulmate Kicks.

I learned about this store from a guy friend from another course who always bought his shoes there. They offer buy-one-take-one deals, but the lightweight shoes that my brother liked cost around ₱2,500+. It is a bit expensive, but I knew that was exactly what he wanted.

Upon our entrance into the store, my brother's smile was so radiant as he loved what was on display. Just seeing him that happy already made me happy too.

While I was busy with a mirror selfie, I even got his smile—so adorable! While I was occupied with taking pictures, he was trying on shoes to check if they were as light as he wanted. He asked for my opinion on the pairs he tried.

Here are some of the shoes he fitted. They looked good on him, but I gave my honest opinion about the design. I asked him to rolled up his pants a little so we could see the full design, but I told him it wasn’t really my bet. The colors were nice, but the shoes wouldn’t match easily with different clothes. So, I suggested he look for another pair.

Finally, we found the last option: a white pair of shoes. Our first concern was that they might get dirty easily, but the vendor said there’s a shoe cleaner called “Wipe Out” available in an online app. That solved the problem!

So, without hesitation, we chose the white pair. They looked nice and could match any pants or outfit.

Since it was buy-one-take-one, we got another pair of casual shoes along with the sports shoes. At first, my brother said the second pair could be mine, but I told him I wasn’t really a fan of shoes. Instead, I told him to pick another pair for himself. He chose a black Nike pair, which I also liked for him.

And that’s all for today’s blog, my dear Hivers! I’ll continue the story in my next post. Thanks for reading!
