Hivers! Hello, here I am your @janineylicious friend from Cebu, Philippines. Today, I am going to share a little glimpse of an extra-ordinary day with my family – simple yet memorable.
2days ago, I went out with the whole family for a pizza day. There was no special day or a day for celebration but we decided to hang out a little bit because it has been awhile since the last time we eat out. We just went on the nearest pizza restaurant in our town and I am so happy the everyone is excited specially the kids who really enjoyed eating pizza. We dine in at Alberto’s Pizza – this is one of the Cebuano’s favorite home grown pizza that is located at the Baywalk, City of Naga, Cebu.
What I love about the place aside from their delicious pizza is the place with a perfect view and ambiance. It depends on the time you dine in it’s either daytime or night time, if it is during the day you will surely appreciate the sea view since it is near the Baywalk and if it is night time – you will appreciate the cold sea breeze and the city lights. This made the place more memorable specially when you bring your friends or loved ones. In addition, the restaurant is spacious enough that can cater a large group which is perfect specially for us.
It has been a memorable day for us to spend such a lovely night with the whole family. Simply, we just spend it with a pizza and laughter to sharing of stories and enjoying each other's company. We took our time savoring every bite and each slice of pizza a reminder of the joy that comes from being together. This is somehow an additional list to our treasured moments. Somehow, days like this is not always as it is but atleast I can say that every moments has different story. Maybe I may sound exaggerating but we doesn’t have the privilege to have this kind of hang outs all the time because my auntie is the only one who is working and providing for the whole family and this serves as my inspiration to work harder on my studies so I can do the same thing once I could be able to land a job soon as I finished my college.
After we finished the pizza, we took a time strolling around the baywalk to relax and chill. We also had fun taking pictures and the kids were so happy running back and forth. You can actually hear the sound of waves lapping against the shore and that makes the moment more peaceful. And while roaming around, we found a bench to sit and started to have a conversation about our childhood day and how fast time flies. This is one of the things why I love this family because we truly appreciate the little things around us and how we’ve become.
I know in this life, we need to strive more in order to experience a little convenience in life and I really hope I could be able to achieve it so my family could live a life the way we wanted. I am not saying that it would be easy, but I know for sure that if you really wanted… you’ll have to work on it to make it happen. It is not just about the material things though. It’s about giving my loved ones the chance to enjoy their lives to the fullest and I am sure every one of us here have the same goals right?
It was just a pizza day but I learned something much deeper in life that serves as my inspiration. This is another reason why I appreciate those people who really treasured their family until the very end despite the imperfections and struggles they are facing.They are the ones who understand that life is not all about perfection but life is about sticking together, supporting each other and finding greatfulness even in the hardest times. And I really hope in the upcoming years from now, we still have the same bonding.
