Hello greetings to all, long time no write in this space so nice for me, but I'm back in the community of Family & Friends and what better way than sharing my experiences last December 24 and 25 with my family.
It occurred to me this year to do something different, so I told my sister to dress all of us in pajamas, because I saw in many stores selling beautiful Christmas pajamas and hence the proposal. I could not miss the formal invitation by the family group, so that everyone could prepare for that day, that gives a more formal and exciting touch to the meeting.
Prior to Christmas:.
I bought the traditional Pan de Jamón at the bakery @cuevadeiria (IG), I took my friend Dora's Christmas rolls and my sister @yamilar04 ordered the hallacas from her neighbor, my mom made the chicken salad and we bought fruits, black cake, panettone and sangria thanks to my other sister's contribution.
Ready with our outfits the celebration began and as my nephew was anxious to know what I had prepared for them, at 9 pm we began to deliver the gifts, I really liked that most were useful things, that tells me that as a family we are attentive to listen to know what to give, I for example always do, it's nice to hear ... "just what I needed or just what I wanted".
First we played to win the candy or snacks, it was fun to see how they concentrated to pull the wick wishing to get the one of their choice and the joy or disappointment of not having gotten the one they wanted, but they were always happy because in the end they even made exchanges.
Then we improvised an arrow on a sheet of paper with different colored papers that showed us which cup it belonged to. Inside each one was a surprise, there were toys, a tangerine, a can of sardines, new Christmas stockings, stuffed animals, papers that said beer or soda cans, a hug or a wish and even empty ones... my daughter got the one that didn't say anything.
It was a poem to see the faces when they unexpectedly uncovered the glass and saw what was inside, the laughter and the desire to repeat the turn kept the joy and the bochinche, as the time for Christmas dinner approached.
Dinner time came and we gathered at the table, we were thankful that again this year we could be together as a family sharing the traditional Venezuelan Christmas dish. We toasted and ready, my daughter and my nephew went to watch the fireworks on the street... "In pajamas".
When they returned, we made our petitions and celebrated the birth of the baby Jesus, we gave thanks for what we had experienced, while our kitty Paris watched us attentively from the furniture.
With gaitera music, typical of the Zulian region and popular at this time of the year in Venezuela, we sang and danced. After a while... they asked me to play another game, so we looked for gift bags and I proposed them to make the "crazy gift". We put everyone's names in an envelope and we took out a little piece of paper, just like the secret friend, then we had to look all over the house for something to give to the person we got, the idea was to play a joke on them.
It was great, because the creativity exploded, my brother-in-law was a joker with my gift, as I am always looking for new ventures ... he gave me a shoe shine box to start a new venture. However, my sister was not left behind, because my brother-in-law is from the baseball team Leones del Caracas and my sister gave him a cap from the main rival... the Navegantes del Magallanes.
After 2 a.m. they wanted to continue playing and finally we played penance, that was very good too, they left my nephew without talking for a while and that was great because he is very talkative. The best penance was my mom's, being a member of the baseball team Los Tiburones de La Guaira and not liking the Caraquitas of Los Leones... she had to drink a beer in a thermos of that team... and she did it with difficulty.
We had a great time, something different from previous years with a touch of fun and creativity.
I really enjoyed this Christmas, I hope to find other fun games for the end of the year.
Hola saludos a todos, tiempo sin escribir en este espacio tan agradable para mí, pero ya estoy de vuelta en la comunidad de Family & Friends y que mejor manera que compartiendo mis experiencias el pasado 24 y 25 de diciembre con mi familia.
Se me ocurrió este año hacer algo diferente, así que le comente a mi hermana en vestirnos todos con pijamas, porque vi en muchas tiendas vendiendo hermosas pijamas navideñas y de ahí la propuesta. No podía faltar la invitación formal por el grupo familiar, para que todos se preparasen para ese día, eso le da un toque más formal y emocionante al encuentro.
Previo a la navidad:
Compré el tradicional Pan de Jamón en la panadería @cuevadeiria (IG), me lleve los bollitos navideños de mi amiga Dora y mi hermana @yamilar04 le encargo a su vecina las hallacas, mi mama hizo la ensalada de pollo y compramos frutas, torta negra, panettone y sangría gracias al aporte de mi otra hermana.
Listos con nuestros atuendos comenzó la celebración y como mi sobrino estaba ansioso por saber que les tenía preparado, a las 9 de la noche comenzamos a entregar los regalos, me gustó mucho que la mayoría eran cosas útiles, eso me dice que como familia estamos atentos a escuchar para saber que regalar, yo por ejemplo siempre lo hago, es agradable escuchar… “justo lo que me hacía falta o justo lo que quería”
Primero jugamos a ganarnos las chucherías o snacks, fue muy divertido ver como se concentraban para halar el pabilo deseando saliera el de su preferencia y la alegría o supiro de no haberle tocado el que quería, sin embargo siempre salían contentos porque al final hasta hicieron intercambios.
Después improvisamos una flecha en una hoja con diversos papeles de colores que nos mostraban a que vaso le pertenecía. Dentro de cada uno se encontraba una sorpresa, habían juguetitos, una mandarina, una lata de sardina, medias navideñas nuevas, peluches, papelitos que decían latas de cerveza o refresco, un abrazo o un deseo y hasta vacíos… a mi hija le toco el que no decía nada.
Era todo un poema ver las caras cuando inesperadamente destapaban el vaso y veían lo que estaba dentro, las risas y las ganas de se repitiera el turno mantenían la alegría y el bochinche ya acercándose la hora de la cena navideña.
Llego la hora de la cena y nos reunimos en la mesa, agradecimos porque de nuevo este año pudimos estar juntos en familia compartiendo el tradicional plato navideño venezolano. Brindamos y ya listos, mi hija y mi sobrino se fueron a ver los fuegos artificiales para la calle… “En pijama”
Cuando regresaron, hicimos nuestras peticiones y celebración del nacimiento del niño Jesús, agradecimos por lo vivido, mientras nuestra gatita Paris nos veía atenta desde el mueble.
Con música gaitera, típica de la región zuliana y popular en estas fechas en Venezuela, cantamos y bailamos. Luego de un rato… me pidieron hacer otro juego, así que buscamos bolsas de regalos y les propuse hacer el “regalo loco”. Colocamos los nombres de todos en un sobre y fuimos sacando un papelito, así como el amigo secreto, luego teníamos que buscar por toda la casa algo que regalarle a quien nos tocó, la idea era jugarle una broma.
Estuvo genial, porque la creatividad exploto, mi cuñado se pasó de bromista con mi regalo, como siempre estoy buscando nuevos emprendimientos… me regalo una caja de limpiar zapatos para que iniciara un nuevo emprendimiento. Sin embargo, mi hermana no se quedó atrás, pues mi cuñado es del equipo de beisbol los Leones del Caracas y mi hermana le regalo una gorra del rival principal… los Navegantes del Magallanes.
Ya pasadas las 2 de la madrugada querían seguir jugando y finalmente jugamos a la penitencia, esa estuvo muy buena también, a mi sobrinito lo dejaron sin hablar por un buen rato y eso fue genial porque él es muy conversador. La mejor penitencia fue la de mi mama que siendo del equipo de beisbol de Los Tiburones de La Guaira y no quiere a los Caraquitas de Los Leones… le toco tomarse una cerveza en un termo nada más y nada menos de ese equipo… y lo hizo a duras penas.
La pasamos súper rico, algo diferente a los años anteriores con un toque de diversión y creatividad.
Me gustó mucho estas navidades, espero encontrar otros juegos divertidos para fin de año.
