Hola amigos de Hive. Que tal han sido los primeros días del año 2024. Espero que hayan recargado la energía y vayan con todo por sus metas.
Para mí en general fue un año de mucho agradecimiento, a pesar de las adversidades y las despedidas de gente muy querida, fue un año de muchas alegrías.
Soy de Barquisimeto Edo. Lara. Somos conocidos como la ciudad crepuscular, la capital musical de Venezuela, dueños del pepito clásico original y por la procesión de La Excelsa Divina Pastora.
Hoy quiero compartirles mi visita al pueblo de Santa Rosa en compañía de mi familia al lugar donde se encuentra la iglesia hogar de la Divina Pastora.
Luego de año nuevo, en guarolandia recibimos mucho turismo, principalmente porque el día 14 de Enero se lleva a cabo la procesión de la Divina Pastora. Desde los primeros de Enero hasta el 13 se llena de visitas la iglesia y el pueblo de Sta Rosa para celebrar dicha festividad.
Decidí traer a mi abuela a visitar el pueblo de Santa Rosa junto con mi hermana, mi primo y su esposa. Para mí abuela era una tradición venir a Santa Rosa en estas fechas en compañía mi tía Yoce, quien falleció a mitad de año 2023. Por este motivo sabía que está visita iba a ser especial y emotiva.
Desde que entramos a Santa Rosa pudimos observar como ya se estaban haciendo los preparativos para la procesión. Algunas calles estaban trancadas porque se estaba pintando toda la vía principal.
El pueblo es muy colorido y muy autóctono, se siente la calidez de sus habitantes. Adentrados a Santa Rosa nos encontramos con la plaza y la iglesia. Al rededor de la plaza encontramos la estación de policía, un paseo, locales de comida y el mirador desde donde se puede ver lo que anteriormente era el Río Turbio.
La iglesia es imponente en su interior y exterior. En el interior está decorada por vitriales y estatuas de diferentes santos y vírgenes. Los Vitriales son donaciones hechas por personas o empresas. Cada Vitrial tiene el nombre del donante.
Nosotros al llegar disfrutamos ver el pesebre, el Santuario y luego nos sentamos para descansar. Mi abuela como cristiana comenzó a rezar el Rosario.
Estuvimos descansando dentro de la iglesia mientras veíamos entrar y salir a decenas de personas que se acercaban al Santuario a saludar y recibir la bendición de la Divina Pastora.
Quiero hacer una mención especial al Santuario de la Divina Pastora, es increíble y mágico ver la estructura donde reposa. Está tan lleno de detalles y arropada de una belleza mística especial que te permiten quedarte disfrutando de él por largoo tiempo.
Luego de la sesión en la iglesia decidimos dar una vuelta por la plaza para ver los locales y tarantines de vendedores ambulantes. Aquí son muy famosos los puestos que te venden artesanía, bisutería o recuerdos con imágenes de La Divina Pastora.
Tenían pulseras y artesanías muy interesantes dónde los precios varían entre los $3 y $15 Dólares.
Luego de ver las artesanías decidimos sentarnos en la plaza para realizar una de los pasatiempos secundarios de la plaza "Alimentar a las palomas". Está plaza es muy conocida por ser hogar de decenas de palomas que viven en la plaza. (Literalmente las palomas tienen sus casas en estructuras elevadas en la plaza)
Compramos unas bebidas gaseosas y tostones para comer mientras descansamos sentados en la plaza, mientras alimentamos a las palomas.
Para finalizar entramos de nuevo a la iglesia para despedirnos de la Divina Pastora y tomar la foto familiar.
Una recomendación personal para quienes deseen visitar el pueblo de Santa Rosa durante estas fechas es que se planifiquen para hacerlo durante los primeros 3-4 días de Enero, porque los trabajos preparativos para la procesión, junto con las actividades a los días previos atraen a un gran número de personas lo podrían hacer pesado la visita.

The church is imposing in its interior and exterior. The interior is decorated with stained glass windows and statues of different saints and virgins. The stained glass windows are donations made by individuals or companies. Each Vitrial has the name of the donor.
When we arrived we enjoyed seeing the manger, the Shrine and then we sat down to rest. My grandmother, as a Christian, began to pray the Rosary.
We were resting inside the church while we saw dozens of people coming in and out of the Shrine to greet and receive the blessing of the Divine Shepherdess.
I want to make a special mention to the Sanctuary of the Divina Pastora, it is incredible and magical to see the structure where she rests. It is so full of details and wrapped in a special mystical beauty that allow you to stay enjoying it for a long time.
After the session in the church we decided to take a walk around the square to see the local and tarantines of street vendors. Here are very famous the stalls that sell handicrafts, jewelry or souvenirs with images of La Divina Pastora.
They had very interesting bracelets and handicrafts where the prices vary between $3 and $15 dollars.
After looking at the handicrafts we decided to sit in the plaza to do one of the side pastimes of the plaza "Feeding the pigeons". This plaza is well known for being home to dozens of pigeons that live in the plaza (literally the pigeons have their homes in elevated structures in the plaza).
