The most longed for day arrived to go with my wife to visit my dear mother and sisters in the beautiful city of Los Teques, where we were received with all the love that overflows them over the family. My mother's greatest joy to see us in these Christmas dates, where the tears of joy, the hugs and the cold characteristic of that area made a very cozy atmosphere. After a few hours of conversation we exchanged Christmas gifts.
Already in the course of the afternoon touring the streets of this beautiful city Mirandina we found a very emblematic and picturesque boulevard by a beautiful sculpture made with bronze being the main theme snacks or snacks called TEQUEÑOS, which by the way according to the surroundings of this community say that the Tequeños were created in this city of Los Teques by a family named Baez in the 1920s. They were made with the leftover bread dough by rolling the wheat flour dough with cheese in the shape of a fried or in some cases baked finger. They were known as cheese rolling, then from 1960 Tequeños, also known in Europe as Palitos de queso, in Chile they are known as Tequefingers and in Mexico as Deditos or Palitos de queso, they are widely consumed in Colombia and Peru, being a very popular snack at parties.
As a curious fact, in October 2023 it was recognized in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest Tequeño in the world with 15 meters in the city of Los Teques. Venezuela.
After this beautiful tour where we were impressed by so much history captured in this boulevard, we decided to return home where our mother was waiting for us, who by the way was a little worried about our tardiness, where the reason for leaving was to buy some food for dinner. Me llegó el día más anhelado para ir con mi esposa a visitar a mi querida madre y hermanas en la hermosa ciudad de los Teques, donde nos recibieron con todo el amor que desborda ellas sobre la familia. Mayor alegría de mi madre al vernos en éstas fechas decembrinas, donde las lágrimas de alegría,los abrazos y el frío característico de esa zona hizo un ambiente muy acogedor . Luego de unas cuantas horas de conversación hicimos un intercambio de regalos navideño.
Ya en el transcurso de la tarde recorriendo un poco las calles de esta hermosa ciudad Mirandina nos encontramos con un boulevard muy emblemático y pintoresco por unas lindas escultura echa con bronce siendo el tema principal los bocadillos o pasapalos llamados TEQUEÑOS, que por cierto según los aledaños de esta comunidad comentan que los Tequeños fueron creados en ésta ciudad de los Teques por una familia de apellido Báez en los años de 1920.Los cuáles eran echo con la masa sobrante del pan enrollando la masa de harina de trigo con queso en forma de dedito frito o en algunos casos horneado. Eran conocidos como enrollando de queso, luego a partir de 1960 se conocen Tequeños , también conocido como en Europa como Palitos de queso, en Chile se conocen como Tequefingers y en México como Deditos o Palitos de queso, son muy consumido en Colombia y Perú.Siendo un pasapalos muy solicitado en fiestas.
Como dato curioso, en octubre de 2023 fue reconocido en el Libro de Recor de Guinness,
como el Tequeño más grande del mundo con 15 metros , en la ciudad de Los Teques. Estado Miranda, Venezuela.
Después de este hermoso recorrido donde quedamos impresionados por tanta historia plasmada en este boulevard, decidimos regresar a casa donde nos esperaba nuestra madre, quien por cierto estaba un poco preocupada por nuestra tardanza, donde el motivo de salida era comprar algo de comida para la cena. Nos dejamos llevar por tanta belleza en un boulevard tan visitado por muchas personas de esta ciudad mirandina. Aprendimos que para la próxima salida tenemos que llevar a nuestra madre y no dejarla esperando.
