Truly, after a hectic month of academics, what we all need is a vacation, a well deserved vacation.
Hello, Hive! It’s been a while since my last post. Well, I can say that I’ve had a busy month with all of the performance task week, exam, and elections. Thankfully, we were granted a 1 week of academic break. Ergo, I will try my best to be more active this month.
As I have said, I have been busy last month, not just in academics, but as well as in the elections since I did run for office, which means that I have spent my free time campaigning together with my constituents–Team Alisto. And although I have lost, I am still glad that I’ve got the chance to get to know the people in my party. I was so thankful for the memories we’ve shared. We are so close that we treat each other not just as constituents, but as friends.
Ever since, we have already planned that after the elections, whatever the results may be, we will be celebrating it, so we went to Graceland Resort for a simple celebration. It is a resort located in our barangay as well, specifically, Purok PNOC1, Brgy. Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental. It is just a 10 minute motorcycle ride from our house.
It is a well-known resort here in our barangay, and unlike any other resort, it is located in the mountains, which means that it has a beautiful view up there, and of course, cold water.
They also have an eatery inside, so while waiting for the others, I decided to buy a drink. The eatery’s location is perfect since you can see the pool’s view from there. However, their food is kind of expensive. So, bringing your own food is highly encouraged, which is definitely what we did.
Because of the resort’s beauty, we can’t stop ourselves from taking a lot of pictures, may it be group pictures or solo pictures. Gladly, my phone’s storage didn’t give up. They even have a roof deck which you can witness the mountain view and the resort's view from up there. It’s like the resort is not just built for relaxation but as well as a place where you can take your instagrammable pics, and don’t even get me started on the sunset part–it was immaculate.
They also have a mini fish pond inside and a lot of cats and dogs. They also offer a lot of commodities such as massages and the likes.
Despite the short time that our party had spent together, I can say that what we have built is something that is worth remembering. We share the same passion, which may be the reason that made us get close to each other in a small period of time. This might be cliche, but I always get sad everytime I remember the campaign period, how we walked together under the scorching heat of the sun introducing ourselves to people, handing out our flyers. I just wished that what we have will never break. I hope It will not be our last.
